Traisen Einöd

This area is situated between Herzogenburg and Traismauer, in direct proximity of the village of Einöd, starting at the weir situated about 1km above the bridge of Einöd and reaching as fast as the next weir downstream below the bridge of Einöd.

The diversion channels at the right- and left-hand banks of the main river also belong to this region. The entire fishing length is about 4km. The area is situated in the lower reaches of the river Traisen in the grayling/barbel region, it is, however, managed as trout area.

As this part of the river Traisen is situated in a lovely back water region, the trout to be caught there certainly are of excellent quality, although most of the water is extracted from the river by the diversion channels. We do, however, trust that the water level of the main river will rise on account of the legal initiatives in connection with the „revitalization of the river Traisen“.

It is compulsory to have an official fishing- or guest license for Lower Austria.

Fishing tackle admissible: main river: fishing rod with any admissible bait; diversion channel: fly rod with artificial fly or spinning rod with artificial bait or dead bait fish; dead bait fish, however, only from April 1st to August 31st.

Wading boots and trousers are admissible!
