Pitten Lanzenkirchen

This area comprises the diversion channel of the river Pitten fairly below the weir at Erlach and the river Leitha from the district border of Lanzenkirchen downstream to the railway bridge of the Austrian Federal Railways to Ödenburg. A large number of brown- and rainbow trout can be found in the diversion channel, especially in its deep sections, first of all owing to the side brooks of the Pitten, such as the Leiding-, Klingfurth- and Ofenbach.

Rainbow trout are stocked regularly. In times of sufficient precipitation of rain and snow there is enough water even in the bed of the river Leitha. In this case also fly fishing can be taken into consideration there, the more so as the license price is moderate - a really attractive personal tip for our fishermen from southern Lower Austria.

Besides the fly rod also spinning rods are admissible with artificial bait on a single hook. Annual season- and day licenses are available.

It is compulsory to have an official fishing-or guest license for Lower Austria.
