The three Piesting areas of Wöllersdorf, Felixdorf and Tattendorf are situated in the central course of the river Piesting which shows a great variety of high-speed sections, deep pools and wide reservoirs, its overall length is 22km with an average water flow of 3 m3 per second.

The fish stock comprises approx. 75% of brown trout, 15% of rainbow trout and 10% of graylings. Fishing can also be done here with a spinning rod (artificial bait with single hook is compulsory).

It is necessary to have an official fishing- or guest license for Lower Austria.
