River March
 
The river March is a low-land river with an average width of approx. 70 m. The fish fauna is typical for the bream region. The river is situated in a wooded back water area.

Scientific investigations found out the existence of 22 types of fish with cyprinids prevailing. The river March is known for its good wels stock. The area extends from the municipal border of Markthof to its confluence with the Danube.

The left-hand river bank belongs to Slovakia. The state border runs in the middle of the river. A boat may be used.

It is compulsory to have an official fishing- or day license for Lower Austria.
