Situated south-west of Annaberg, the Lassingbach is meandering
through a wide valley. The upper part of this highland brook is
the home of domestic brown trout.
The river bank is partly marshland with lots of rare flowers,
bushes and trees. During spawning season giant trout are climbing
up the central part of this brook besides that big brown- and rainbow
trout living here all the time.
Below the reservoir of Viennaerbruck this brook is not that easily
accessible, some spots, however, can yet be used for fishing.
The entire section is specially attractive for dry fly fishing
in total awareness of nature. It is necessary to have the big general
license or the universal license for fishing in this area. The only
bait admissible is the artificial fly at the fly rod.
It is compulsory to have an official fishing- or guest license
for Lower Austria.
