The river Lafnitz springs in Joglland in the Steiermark and gets enriched by countless little creeks.
Beginning at the town Lafnitz it builds the borderline between Steiermark and Burgenland and after linking with the river Feistritz it joins the river Raab near the Hungarian border city of Szentgotthard.
The hole area of the river Lafnitz is part of “Natura-2000”.
The 10 to 15 meter wide beat is situated between Münichwald and Rohrbach a.d. Lafnitz, can be waded easily all the way, is easy reach and offers a very constant water level. The distance to Vienna as well as Graz is approximately 150 km on the motorway.
The brown trout is dominating, rainbows as well as the odd graylings complete the stock
