The river Grosse Erlauf is a typical river at the foothills of
the Alps, crossing a variety of meadows, fields and gorge-like sections.
The length of these areas is about 27km and the average width is
20-30m.
The excellent fish stock including brown trout, rainbow trout and
graylings makes it possible to do fishing in wonderful unspoilt
nature.
It is compulsory to have an official fishing- or guest license
for Lower Austria
